What to know before you go
Carissa's The Bakery lists three shops. The sit-down shop at 221 Pantigo Road in East Hampton calls itself a bakery, restaurant, beverage bar and pantry, with dine-in and takeout. Its hours are Thursday 8:30 am to 3 pm and Friday through Sunday 8:30 am to 4 pm.
The Newtown Lane shop at 68 Newtown Lane is takeout only for sandwiches, baked goods and pantry items. Its entry reads: "This location is hibernating through the fall and winter seasons. See you in May!" That is an example of a seasonal closing the restaurant posts itself.
The third shop, at 3 Bay Street in Sag Harbor, is takeout only and keeps the same Thursday to Sunday hours as Pantigo Road. Phone numbers are 631-604-5911 (Pantigo Road), 631-527-5996 (Newtown Lane) and 631-808-3633 (Bay Street). The site also takes Thanksgiving pre-orders.
