Hampton Bays is an unincorporated hamlet in the Town of Southampton, on Shinnecock Bay and Peconic Bay, and the first stop east of the Shinnecock Canal.
Cowfish and RUMBA both say they are open year-round; Cowfish's heated canal-side igloo returns for winter 2026-27, per a post dated October 26, 2026. The Canal Cafe takes no reservations and is closed Monday and Tuesday. Out of the Blue posts 10 am to 8 pm every day and also takes no reservations.
Sit-down dinner is easiest to plan at Cowfish; for a quick fish dinner without a booking, the other two are walk-in only.
