Baby Moon is a family-run Italian restaurant and pizzeria on Montauk Highway, serving Sicilian recipes from founders Peter and Salvatrice Gambino. It is celebrating its 50th anniversary and says it is open all year round, seven days a week, closing only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.
The menu leans on classics. The seafood platter alla Baby Moon piles clams, mussels and scungilli with calamari and shrimp into tomato sauce, and the antipasto is named for founder Peter. Brick-oven pizza is on the list too, and dishes use local produce and fresh seafood. It books private parties and events and has a catering menu.
