This is where the Golden Pear started: Main Street, Southampton, 1987. East Hampton followed in 1991 and Bridgehampton in 1996. All three sell the same thing: breakfast, lunch, a house-made bakery, fresh coffee and, in the café's words, unsurpassed people-watching.
It opens at 6 am every day of the week and closes at 5 pm (5:30 pm on Saturday), so plan on a morning here and dinner somewhere else.
