The Sagaponack General Store opened in 1878, when Sagg Main was a horse-drawn highway, and it still anchors the village. The floorboards are original, the shelves carry its own Sagaponack honey and flowers and locally grown produce, and a counter turns out sandwiches, soups and salads.
It is open every day from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Monday evenings bring a "Monday night tradition" from 3 pm while supplies last, and the home page is already teasing what is coming this winter. Catering orders go through Toast.
