Bobby Van's is light and airy for a steakhouse, with indoor and heated outdoor seating and a rich wood bar. Dinner is the steakhouse run, including a 9-ounce filet with a lobster tail, and lunch brings big salads and sandwiches.
Dinner is by reservation only, and the restaurant takes bookings up to two weeks ahead, so call early for a weekend. Lunch is open seating, with reservations suggested for parties of five or more. The bar is open from noon to 11 pm every day.
The Butcher Shoppe counter sells freshly cut steaks, chops and poultry to cook at home. Orders go in a day ahead, for pickup Monday to Saturday between noon and 5 pm.
